How to add Sources to Cydia





These are step by step instructions on how to add the iClarified source to Cydia. You may have to follow these directions if iClarified isn't already included in your list of sources.

Step One
Press to select Cydia from your Springboard.


Step Two
Press to select Manage from the tabs at the bottom of the screen.


Step Three
Press to select Sources from the menu that appears.


Step Four
Press the Edit button at the top right of the screen.


Step Five
Press the Add button that appears at the top left of the screen.


Step Six
Enter http://cydia.iClarified.com as the source address then press the large Add Source button.


Step Seven
One the source has been added press the large Return to Cydia button at the bottom of the screen.


Step Eight
Press the Done button at the top right of the screen.


Step Nine
Notice the iClarified source appears in the list of sources. Press it to view the packages currently available!

What is a source?

Sources



A source is a web address you add to Installer or Cydia to download applications. Different sources host different things like applications, wallpapers, themes, etc.
Below is a list of sources from applications reviewed on this website. Most applications are available through Community Sources (trusted and usually preinstalled) but others are not and you will need to manually add them.

Sources for Installer 3.1

You can add additional sources by opening Installer.app, tapping on sources in the bottom right corner, edit in the top right corner, then add in the top left corner. Once you’re done, tap done in the top right corner. Installer.app should refresh the sources automatically but sometimes it takes twice for them to show up correctly.

If you would like to manage your sources online there is a great website called iAppCat.com where you can create your own personalized source. You can just search for an application and then check mark it to add to your personal source. We have a personal source here at Apple iPhone School that you can add to get all the applications we approve that aren’t in Community Sources. Just add iappcat.com/r/7501
