![]() ![]() If you see No Service or Searching on your iPhone, there are some simple steps you can follow to try to resolve the issue, for example, restart your iPhone; reset your Network Settings; however, it’s not always the case. Today, we demonstrate the iPhone 7 baseband “No Service” troubleshooting and show you exactly how to fix it. Step 1. Diagnosis How can we know the “No Service” issue is out of the baseband other than network settings or area coverage? Here is the simple trick : open Settings>General>About, and check the modem firmware data, if there is no modem firmware while the phone stuck searching or show “No service”, you need to check the baseband circuit. ![]() Step2. Troubleshooting Use the multimeter to detect the problem by measuring the resistance of the baseband CPU and RF IC. The area with short circuit is the part need to be looked deep into and repaired. In our case, it’s the capacitor C5608-RF need to be replaced. ![]() Step3. Repairing Make sure there is enough tin on the soldering pad before replacing the capacitor (lack of tin can cause poor contact or function failure). Apply solder flux nicely on the pad, set the new capacitor in position, then solder with hot air gun. ![]() Step4. Final Check Restart the iPhone 7 when finish repairing, Go to Settings>General>About, and recheck the modem data, if it shows up and the network works well, the problem is solved. ![]() |
